 FINALLY A THIRD PERSON GAME August 26, 2010

It seems that there are almost no good third person games that an adult can enjoy. But Mercenaries is one of the best!
Imagine Star Wars Battlefront fused with GTA, you get Mercenaries!
Great graphics and cool missions.
I very much like the fact that you can radio in air strikes which come in very handy when encountering tanks and other stronge enemies. Great character design and there are many extra skin codes. For example there is even a Han Solo skin you can play as, very cool! You can also recruit other troops to go into battle with you. I dont like very many 3d video games, but Mercenaries is a winner! Otherwise I would have not bought it.

Well first off the amount of time it took to get the product to me was amazing! I put the Order in for the Game on the 8th and got it literally 3 days later! The account told me that it would take up to 2 weeks for shipment... I'll take it!
Overall the game is good, the graphics are a 3 out of 5 for me, its not bad for a PS2 game base. Its not Open World as I heard it would be, sure you can walk around in a mapped world and do jobs you want to do, but the game still leads you a lot in what to do next and how you must do it. The overall map size is small and it can take you only a couple minutes to cross from one side to the next.
You can pick and choice what faction (Allies, Chinese, Russian or South Korean) you can like and dislike, it seems far to hard to please all of them and once you do a mission, the factons seem to hate you for helping the other person... and what ever you do, dont kill any citizens from a allied faction because they will hate you more. I threw a granade at a car for the pur fun to see it blow up and a group full of moronic AI citizens ran directly at the car and it killed them and ruined my rep with them bigtime and have yet to make up for that to date...
Overall a good game, you can do a lot of nothing if you want, kinda like a GTA. Just go around killing people for no reason and then do a misson when you want to. Egh...

mercinaries is gta in a warzone, which makes killing justifyible. in my opinion it is the best T-rated game out for ps2. You may either freee-roam and destroy things and just blow stuff up or do missions to beat the game. after you beat the game it starts all over but you get to kepp alll your stuff from your last game. Weapons, vehicals, enviorment and charactors aremind blowing. the only down fall is the story line is a little bland. All-and-all this is one of the most creative andenjoyable game not just for the ps2 but for any consol. I give it a 9.5/10

this is way better than mercenaries 2 for xbox 360 the problem is the graphic suck compared to xbox 360 but there are many cheats and the weapons u can get with cheats u can get the street sweeper and i remember the unlimited health cheat and here it is
