This game is quite amazing ,Being only a teenager and having 4 sisters its fun to trade off mics ,The game is very positive I Love the grading Since it helps the players improve on their scores.The High School story mode is very sweet being like the whole movie .The songs are easy to sing to a key and it is very great when you have party's showing off with the new outfits which are easy to unlock it doesn't take a professional to sing these songs .What's even funner is that i had the game before my cousins now they have it and cant stop talking on how much they can beat me.The Game play with two players are fun!specially when you get a talented performer Grade!

We bought this game based on our kids' positive experience with the earlier Disney Sing-it.
Unlike the original Sing-it, this one actually pipes some of the singer's voice out through the speakers, giving some important feedback for speech and tone. However, there are numerous negatives. First, the graphics while singing are awful. REALLY awful. I'd expect this from an original Nintendo NES, not a current generation game system. Instead of actual performers or performances, there are painfully bad cartoons of Zac Efron, Ashley Tisdale, etc.
Worse is that the user interface is pathetic, too. The original Sing-it for Wii used, for example typical Wii controls A for select/forward, B for back. HSM Sing-it does A for select, but "-" for back. Setting up an individual profile for HSM Sing-it -- so each kid can keep up with his own score -- is still a mystery to me. My 10-year-old has difficulty controlling the game.
Disney has foisted this game on us to make another quick buck off the HSM franchise, but they've once again proven my adage that games based on movie/TV franchises are just plain wretched most of the time.
Buy the original Disney Sing-it, and pass on this one unless you just have to have the High School Musical songs.

This was a blast. Although it is a little hard to understand because it isn't like your typical Karaoke, my daughter and I and her friends enjoyed singing these songs.

I bought this along with Sing it. My 5 year old daughter is a HUGE HSM fan. While the game play is good enough for a 5 year old the story and graphics are not there. First of all you the graphics look alot like American Idol. Some background with which ever character you choose. It was a little disappointing when the song that my daughter loves takes forever to unlock if you are like me and sing like a frog and kids only want to sing the songs they know... I will say that my daughter loves being able to sing and hear herself while she is doing it. I just think that Sing it plays better and is more what we thought we were getting when we bought this.

I just love to watch my kids singing. It does need a microphone and I don't believe it says so, so order that too.
